Privacy Policy

GetThatPin! is a Chrome extension. This page explains exactly what data it touches, why, and what it never does with it.

What data is collected

None of it is personally identifiable, but here's precisely what does leave your browser:

• License key. If you activate GetThatPin! Pro, the key you paste into the extension's popup is sent to our licensing API to confirm it's valid and hasn't already been used elsewhere. The key itself isn't tied to your identity.
• Email address. Captured by Stripe at checkout when you buy Pro - not by the extension. Stripe stores it, and it's recorded alongside your license in the private spreadsheet we use to issue keys. GetThatPin! itself never sees, requests, or stores your email.
• Pinterest pages and pins you interact with. Read locally in your browser by the extension's content script, only to find the pin or video you're downloading. That data is never transmitted anywhere except a direct request to Pinterest's own media servers (*.pinimg.com) to fetch the image or video file - nothing is sent to us.

What we don't do

• No analytics
• No tracking pixels
• No ad network of any kind
• We don't sell or share data with third parties
• No account or login, ever

Why each permission exists

• downloads - to save the pin or zip file to your Downloads folder.
• scripting / activeTab - to inject the download button onto the Pinterest tab you're actively viewing.
• storage - to cache your Pro license state locally, so it doesn't have to re-verify on every click.
• host_permissions (*.pinterest.com, *.pinimg.com) - to read pin data and fetch media from Pinterest's own domains.
• host_permissions (licensing API domain, europe-west1-elevate-appp.cloudfunctions.net) - to activate and verify a purchased Pro key.

Data retention and deletion

Since GetThatPin! doesn't store personal data itself, there isn't much to delete on our end. If you bought Pro and want your record (email + key) removed from the spreadsheet we use to issue keys, just email us - see Contact below.
